RESCUED PAWS AT PEACE

This page is dedicated to those pets rescued by PAWS who passed away for various reasons (illness, injury or accident) either soon after they were rescued or whilst in foster care and so never had the chance to find a new home.

	LILY SUE Female Maltese X Shih Tzu Aged approx. 8 years Small size April 2015 due to illness (Lily Sue was diagnosed with an untreatable medical condition whilst in foster care)
	CHARLIE Male Purebred Maltese Aged approx. 6 years Small size July 2014 due to numerous untreatable medical conditions Charlie was a Maltese aged about 6 years who was surrendered for rehoming. When he went for his routine veterinary check he was found to have Cushing's Disease, a high grade heart murmur (5-6) . a mouth full of rotten teeth, luxating patellae and testicular cancer. Charlie was delivered to PAWS in the boot of the owner's car!
	ROCKY Male Poodle X Maltese Aged approx. 4 years Small size April 2014 due to severe behavioural issues
	SNOWY Male Purebred Maltese Aged approx. 8 years Small size December 2013 due to illness When Snowy came from the Pound he appeared to be a happy and healthy little boy but sadly he wasn't. While Snowy was under anaesthetic for his routine desexing surgery it was discovered that he had a lump on one of his anal glands. Testing was done on the lump and Snowy was found to have a very aggressive form of cancer and there was nothing that we could do to save him.
	CALLIE Female Maltese X Aged approx. 8 years Small size November 2013 due to illness (autoimmune haemolytic anaemia was diagnosed while Callie was in foster care)
	BECKY Female Purebred Shih Tzu Aged approx. 16 years Small size October 2013 due to illness When Becky came from the Pound she was a very neglected and sad old dog. Her eyes were infected and dry, her coat was dreadful and she was a lost soul, Becky also had Cushing's Disease so we treated Becky�s eyes and made her as comfortable as possible. Becky was unhappy though, just putting her head and tail down when she was taken outside to toilet. She was frightened and just wanted to curl up in her bed and sleep her life away. Becky�s world was silent and isolated and her carer felt that this was no way for her to live, we wish that we could have helped her to become more confident but it was just not to be so we did the kindest thing for Becky.

	BADGER Male Terrier X Aged approx. 3 years Small size October 2013
	LEILA Female Maltese X Poodle Aged approx. 13 years Small size September 2013 due to illness (Leila was a sanctuary dog who spent three years in permanent foster care as her health situation when rescued meant she could not be rehomed)
	ANGEL Female Purebred Shih Tzu Aged approx. 9 years Small size December 2012 due to illness (numerous mammary tumours which had spread to her lungs were diagnosed on her vet check after rescue from Pound)
	SMILEY Male Purebred Shih Tzu Aged approx. 10 years Small size December 2012 due to illness (aggressive tumours diagnosed on his vet check after rescue from Pound)
	TEDDIE Male Purebred Maltese Aged approx. 12 years Small size September 2012 due to illness (This lovely old dog was coming into care with PAWS but sadly he became so ill that he was euthanased while still impounded. The staff were very kind to him during his last moments and were holding him and wishing him a safe journey. We had high hopes for this elderly gentleman and wanted him to know the meaning of real love in a home that would cherish him for his remaining years but sadly It was not to be. RIP dear old dog ....)

	MISTY Female Terrier X Aged approx. 11 years Small size November 2011 due to illness
	ARTHUR Male Maltese X Shih Tzu Aged approx. 3 years Small size June 2011 due to a motor vehicle accident
	HORTON Male Purebred Pug Aged approx. 7 years Small size March 2011 due to illness
	TOTO Male Purebred Shih Tzu Aged approx. 12 years Small size March 2011 due to illness Toto was diagnosed with lymphoma a few weeks after rescue when a lump was found in his throat while he was being patted. Sadly Toto lost his battle about 6 weeks later...
